Workshops
Cultivate empathy, self-care and emotional literacy in your community or workplace.
Let’s learn, feel, and heal – together.
Foster a more connected community by booking us for a session or series of workshops, aimed at deepening empathy, self-care, emotional literacy, and skills for compassionate conflict management.
In each session, expect us to bring a mix of teaching and personal storytelling, while creating a lively space for dialogue, reflection, and guided practices as a group.
For helping professionals
-
A compassionate understanding of trauma allows us to bridge chasms of judgment or misattunement between us and those we seek to support. This session engages helping professionals in an illuminating discussion on the ways trauma shows up in our bodies, interactions, and daily lives.
-
This workshop guides helping professionals of all backgrounds to more responsibly support and empathize with racialized community members by exploring the often unseen intersections between race and mental health.
-
What if self-care was more about a compassionate relationship to ourselves and our needs, and less about adding specific activities to an already-full schedule? This session offers a time of reflection and self-connection as we rethink what it looks like to truly (and realistically) take care of ourselves.
For community members
-
Based on the globally recognized framework of 'Nonviolent Communication', this perspective-shifting workshop equips peers, students, or members of any community with the empathy and instantly applicable skills to transform conflict into opportunities for connection.
-
Emotions can seem overwhelming, confusing, or even pointless. Together, let’s learn how experiencing the full spectrum of emotions helps us tap into our inner wisdom and feel more connected to ourselves and others.
-
Secure relationships invite us to enjoy trusting connection with others, while also embracing the freedom to be ourselves. In this workshop, we'll explore authenticity as a pathway to the safe, enriching connection we all yearn for.
-
Through learning and dialogue, you can expect participants to gain skills and perspectives to help them practice: empathy towards others and self; healthy communication and conflict navigation; emotion regulation; and critical consciousness of systemic factors that impede mental health.
